Hi,
Never been in Russia before and we do have plans of going there because we have an engineering project coming up at Tbilisi Georgia. I just would like to ask the cost of living there at Tbilisi?
1. How much is the rent for a month for an apartment?
2. How about a small room? rent?
3. How about the food? for a meal, how much does it cost for 1 set of meal?
4. Transportation? minimum fare? bus? train? taxi?
5. Clothing? how much is 1 shirt and pants?
6. Groceries? For a week, how much do I need for me to have enough supplies toiletries, food, laudry stuffs etc.
Those things I need to know.
Thanks.

Cost of Living
Hello
you have a lot of questions, it seems :)))
first of all, let me say that Tbilisi is quite a cheap city, if you aren%26#39;t searching something west-europian. here is a lot of turkish production, but cannot say they have bad quality. just you must know what to buy and what - better not to buy
so
1)first of all, let me ask what do you mean in apartment :)
2)it depends on condition and place the flat is situated. from 100$ usually, but if you want modern flat, in good condition - maybe from 300$
3)cuisine is really delicious, prices - quite normal. for dinner 7$ is quite OK, of course you can spend much more :)
4)bus and the train (underground) have the same price - 40 Tetri (1Gel=100 Tetri, 1USD=1,5Gel), or you can buy monthly ticket for 25Gel (they are different for bus and for underground)
also there are mini-buses, more confortable then buses, and price for that is 50Tetri
for taxi you must count 60 Tetri per Km+1Gel, it means from 3Gel to 10Gel from city centre to anywhere in the city :)
5) quite cheap - again, if you aren%26#39;t searching for something west-european. shirts - from 25Gel, pants are a little expensive
6) difficult to say, it depends the quality you are searching for.
you must first decide, what type of living you are planning - to have every dinner in the restaurant, of have a kitchen and made some meals at home. of course, the second case is much cheeper. you can live here for 200Gel per month (not including the rent for flat, and transportation if you are going by taxi), or maybe 500 will not be enough - denepending on your demands
if you have any other question don%26#39;t hesitate to ask
you are welcome
