Where to live?

Can anybody give me some tips on where to live in Tbilisi? We have 3 Children 14, 9 %26amp; 7 (boys).

Also we have looked into 2 different schools,

QSI which is situated in ';Village Zurgovani'; - is this far outside? in which direction?

and the second school is on Tskneti Highway, in the area of Bagebi?

We are going to be in Tbilisi next week - ';scouting'; and I would appreciate some information on what to look out for.

Where to live?

Hello,

the schools you are talking about are in two different areas of Tbilisi, I would say in two different end of the city. Tskneti is more close to city centre (to the district Vake - it%26#39;s most expensive region of Tbilisi), and Zurgovani is so-called ';american village'; - it%26#39;s near American Embassy, it%26#39;s downtown, but still good place to live, I would say even better than Vake - it%26#39;s less noisy, without nerrow streets etc.

so, it%26#39;s you to decide what to do - it depends how you gonna live; if you prefer to use public transport (or you have private car), - Didi Digomi (place near Zurgovani) is better, but if you%26#39;re going by taxi - vake is better, as everything is near (I mean bars, shops, banks etc, not everyday needs). just remember - Vake will be much more expensive

one more thing you must know is, that tbilisi is a small city, and nothing is far; so, you can live in any other district (Saburtalo, for example - also good choice), the schools usually have their buses for pupils.

if you like write me your email on private, and I will send the map of the districts

please do not hesitate to ask any other question

best wishes

Tbilisian
