Mr Sporran, C_B and Lucas

It%26#39;s not far off now, some have already departed. Shall we organise things to meet up for a jar in Tbilisi?

Mr Sporran, C_B and Lucas

Definitely agree on that one,,!!

Drop me an e-mail dudingeo@hotmail.com and I%26#39;ll give you my mobile number.

Mr Sporran, C_B and Lucas

Aye, good idea, McOne. We arrive late on Sunday night (C_B, when do the bars close?) and leave on the Saturday.

If my memory serves me, I think you arrive on the Tuesday, McOne? I%26#39;ve got a feeling the Hanger bar might become a popular haunt, although I plan on doing a wee tour of the pubs (ahem, I mean museums).

BTW, what%26#39;s your routine for home games? Living in Shawlands, we go to the Corona before the game, and used to go to the Pandora afterwards, but not this time after the debacle of last time. Any recommendations for a post-match party (I%26#39;ll be kilted, mind you).

Anyway, off to buy travel insurance and start packing. Got other things to do tomorrow!!! :-)

Mr S

I%26#39;m going with my family on Saturday. I usually go with my daughter and we have lunch in the wee italian just off kilmarnock road before the game. We haven%26#39;t been for a few games because of the demand for tickets, But I got lucky in the phone lottery for the Ukraine game. It will be my wee boy%26#39;s first game and he will be wearing his kilt (he is 3).

Before I had kids I used to get the bus from the Iron Horse. Most of my mates are heading into the town after the match, via the international, and then the Tartan Specials gig. I had tickets for that until i realised that I wouldnt get home in time to get the kids settled then get back out. I might make it out to the sports bar for the TA party after 9.

Do you recommend anywhere for a meal after the game in Shawlands?

ps Do you know any of the WESTA guys?

pps i%26#39;ll pm my mobile number

Look forward to seeing you soon.

Yes the Hangar Bar is a good start and last night I met Lucas69.

I wonder if he will remember today.?

C_B

Excellent!

I%26#39;m nursing the hangover from hell today. See you soon mate.

See if you can find MrSporran

See you later

From the Tartan Army message board:

';Mr and Mrs Sporran%26#39;s (Alex and Gail) trip has%26#39;nt started too well! They missed their flight

to Heathrow this morning and had to end up getting on another flight (at substantial cost).

Then they found that the direct flight from Heathrow to Tbilisi they were due on was overbooked.

They did%26#39;nt get on and have now had to go via Munich (with substantial compensation).

Hopefully things will get better!';

C_B I sent you an email with my mobile number, did you get it ok?

I met up with the Sporrans last night. We met at the Courtyard then took a stroll down to the Hangar. It was heaving with Scottish Guys and Girls and Rebecca made sure the place was awash with Scottish music. There was also several pipers there and it was one of the best evenings I had in Tbilisi for a long time. Apparently that was just a warm up and ';we ain%26#39;t seen nothing yet.

C_B

C_B, Lucas and McOne,

It was a genuine pleasure to meet you all.

C_B, your help and advice made the trip stressless. Thank you. By the way, pass our thanks on to Billy as well. Offer him my commiserations about the rugby WC final - ha ha!! The special edition of the local vodka is safe and sound (yes, we actually got our luggage this time).

Tbilisi was/is a great place. I actually miss it and hope to return again. Keep in touch C_B and away from the top floor of your work (especially after a night with the Tartan Army!)

Likewise, Lucas and McOne, keep in touch, we may even bump into each other when Scotland scores the winning goal against Italy.

Right, off to plan our trip to NYC for Tartan Week.

Alex

Thanks Mr and Mrs Sporran

The Tartan Army definitely changed the face of Tbilisi. The Georgians will remember this for a long time to come.

It really was a pleasure to meet you both along with all the others.

I have have some great pictures on my mobile and when I work out how to put them on my laptop I will send them to you.

I haven%26#39;t seen Billy since the rugby. Maybe he will emerge from where-ever later today.

Bye for now and do keep in touch

C_B
