Myself and 3 friends are heading for Tbilisi in September for the World Cup qualifying match and will be staying 5 nights. Could my fellow members advise me on the following?
[1] Best accomodation for 4 blokes to stay in, what we want is cheap, cheerful and city centre.
[2] Best places to drink/eat, NOT %26#39;Irish pubs%26#39;.
[3] How easy is it to get to the Black Sea coast.
[4] Any other recommendations on things to do.
Thanks

Go to the Tartan Army Message Board, Bosques. There%26#39;s lots of info there about our fantastic time there.

Hi Bosques
I do know what you mean by NOT Irish Pubs. I%26#39;ve been in a few in many parts of the world and they seem to think that by sticking up a few Guinness signs and a splash of green paint it becomes an Irish Pub.
However..... and Mr Sporran knows this, in Tbilisi we have one fantastic pub called the Hanger. When the Tartan Army were here (changing the face of Tbilisi) so many of them came down to the Hangar and had a fantastic time.

However in Tbilisi there are literally thousands of places to eat and drink. We are also we are just starting our summer months here and September is one of the best.
Look forward to seeing you in Tbilisi.

Cheers Caicos_Boy, will no doubt end up at the Hanger at some stage, what are the Georgia beers like, and how much is a pint of Guinness at the Hanger? Any advice on a good hostel/hotel to stay at?
