taxis to baku

visiting georgia later in the year and hoping to move onto baku from there.

have looked into the possibility of getting the train but seems to take an age to get there.

can i hire a taxi from tbilisi to take me all the way to to baku, if i can roughly how long would it take and how much would it set me back?

taxis to baku

Hello

train to Baku is quite a good choice, it costs 40 Gel (25$), is quite comfortable; goes from Tbilisi at 16:30, and you are in Baku at 09:30 next day

Taxi, of course, will be faster, but it costs 500$ one way (maybe, you can find a little cheeper, I%26#39;d asked at taxi services), and the way back costs 40% of the price (200$); one hour waiting costs 10 Gel (6$)

if you just had problems with reservation of train I can help with it. difference in price is too much, and I think train is even better, as you can sleep better than in taxi

hi...is that 500 us $ ?...crazy fare!!!!

yes, it%26#39;s USD, and I also think it%26#39;s too expensive to pay...

can we get a marshrutka all the way to baku instead?

if we hired the whole thing roughly how much would it cost?

prices for train and for the bus are almost the same, about marshrutka - do not know, but can check, and let me ask how many persons you will.

anyway, train is better and comfortable than bus, and especially - than marshrutka...

many many thanks for all your help tbilisian...appreciated

there will be two of us..the train is appealing but takes so long...how long would drive be to baku?

thanks again
